That simple belief has guided Ether-3D from day one.
What started as a hobby with a few 3D printers quickly became something much bigger. We discovered that many people were looking for dependable, thoughtfully made products without the premium price of fully machined metal components.
Ether-3D didn't begin with a business plan. It began with a passion for 3D printing, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to continuously improving everything we make.
After listing a few products on eBay, demand exceeded every expectation. Orders continued to grow, new products were added, and what started as nights and weekends in the garage became a real business dedicated to manufacturing high-quality accessories.
Today, every Ether-3D product is printed, assembled, and inspected in-house in Indiana. While we've grown tremendously in just over a year, we still approach every order with the same attention to detail that helped us earn the trust of our first customers.
Always Improving
Not every product started as an original Ether-3D design.
Like many makers, some of our earliest products were based on publicly available community designs. As we gained experience and listened to customer feedback, we began refining those designs—improving durability, fit, function, materials, manufacturing methods, and overall quality.
Today, product development is an ongoing process. Whether we're creating something entirely new or improving an existing design, every revision is driven by real customer feedback and our commitment to making each generation better than the last.
Our customers have played a huge role in shaping the products we offer today, and we believe listening to feedback is one of the best ways to continue improving.

We believe great products come from thoughtful design, quality materials, and continuous improvement.
Many of our products are manufactured using carbon-fiber reinforced engineering materials chosen for their excellent balance of strength, durability, and performance. While aluminum or steel components may be the right choice for some applications, they also come with a significantly higher price tag.
Our goal isn't to produce a cheap product at a cheap price. We want to offer a good product at a good price. Instead of trying to replace premium machined metal components, we focus on creating well-made, dependable products that provide the performance most customers need at a price that makes sense.
By combining proven designs, customer-driven improvements, quality materials, and careful manufacturing, we're able to provide products that thousands of customers have trusted without the premium cost of fully machined alternatives.

For just over a year, most of our business has come through online marketplaces like eBay. Those platforms gave us the opportunity to reach thousands of customers, receive valuable feedback, and build a strong reputation for quality and customer service.
